Lot Description
A 19th century gilt metal and ivory circular patch box and cover. The removable cover inset with a circular painted portrait miniature head and shoulder study depicting a distinguished gentleman dressed in a white cravat, shirt and black jacket, the base with applied gilt metal band to foot. 2 1/2" (6.5cm) diameter, 3/4" (2.25cm) high.

Condition Report
Ivory panel to top of lid is split and cracked below the image, there is also a small hole. The interior of the box also has a split to it's base and a small hole, however the hole is filled. The gilt metal mouldings have damage and some minor losses.
