Erotica: a good mid 19th century painted tortoiseshell snuff box with concealed panel. The circular push-on cover finely decorated with a miniature of a semi-naked maiden, perhaps Ophelia, depicted half-length with hair band and diaphanous robe drawn to her cleavage, her modesty partly covered by bullrushes but with her right breast exposed, a waterfall distant, the base section having a secret screw-on panel enclosing a bawdy printed scene of a couple in a garden, 3.1", (8cm) diameter
