A Black Forest 'Postman's Alarm' clock. Retailed by Birkle Brothers & Co, Ipswich', the 8.5" wooden Roman dial inscribed as above, behind convex glazed brass bezel, the wood framed timepiece movement surmounted by a bell, the case with pinned side doors, 12", (30.5cm) diameter, sold with two pine cone weights.
