A mid 19th century French porcelain-mounted ormolu three-piece clock garniture
Japy Freres & Cie, Paris
The 3-inch convex white-enamelled dial with blue Roman hours and black Arabic minutes, the two-train movement, outside countwheel striking on a bell, with oval 1855 Grandes Medailles exhibition stamp and additional stamp A. ROBERT BREVETE SGDG, the case surmounted by cast doves and flaming torch over bead-edged convex dial glass and a bow-breakfront base with cast musical trophies on five toupie feet, 10.75" (27.5cm) high, together with a pair of two branch candelabra, 8.75" (22cm) high. Dial has light staining, retailers name rubbed. Candelabra appear to have restoration to tops of porcelain bodies. Sold with pedulum and winder.
