A George III and later oak-cased 8-day painted dial longcase clock, the 19th century dial of 12-inch break-arched form with Roman hours framing subsidiary seconds dial over inscription 'SWINDEN & SONS BIRMINGHAM No. 14602', within gilt floral spandrels and arch, the movement with anonymous false-plate, rack-striking on a bell, the good 18th century case (associated) with brass rosettes and finials to the swan-neck pediment, over fluted columns, yoke topped moulded long door between fluted quadrant columns, and fielded panelled canted base on a shaped apron, 90.5" (230cm) high.

Very minor dial edge flaking. Movement slightly dusty, probably needs a clean. Packing to seat board. Case generally excellent; finials and apron probably later, otherwise good colour and condition.
