An early Victorian mahogany cased 8-day painted dial longcase clock. Maker's name rubbed. The 13-inch break-arched white Roman dial with subsidiary seconds and date dials, decorated with deer to the spandrels, the arch painted with the 'Foresters Arms', two Scotsmen flanking a crest, in a landscape with gundog, the knopped four pillar movement rack-striking on a bell, the case with reel carved swan neck pediment and frieze over turned columns, short inlaid trunk door between ring turned quadrant columns, and crossbanded boxwood strung base on bracket feet, 92" (233cm) high.
