A mid 20th century diamond and ruby swallow brooch. The rose-cut diamond swallow, with circular ruby cabochon eyes. Length 4.2cms. Weight 8.7gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good. There are scratches to the brooch in keeping with overall wear. There are some areas of discolouration to the settings. There are chips and inclusions to the diamonds visible with the unaided eye, individual size and/or setting prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment.
The ruby eyes are in good condition. The swallow was possibly part of a larger piece, the brooch fitting has been added at a later date. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue and online for coloured gemstones.
