A late 19th century gold and silver diamond star brooch. The old-cut diamond, within a similarly-cut diamond sixteen ray surround. Principal diamond estimated weight 0.75ct, I-J colour, SI2-P1 clarity. Length 3cms. Weight 8.4gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good. There are scratches to the brooch and areas of discolouration to the setting. Dimensions of principal diamond 5.85 by 6.15 by 3.3mms, there is a chip to the girdle and some internal white fractures to the outer edging of the diamond. The outer diamonds are bright, there are profuse inclusions to some of the outer diamonds visible with the unaided eye. Estimated total outer diamond weight 1.90ct. The back pin and catch is secure. Some settings may need to be secured.
