Lot Description

A Victorian silver cruet, the trefoil base on ball feet to the wire beaded frame, scrolling handle and associated silver mounted glass inserts. Hallmarked Henry Holland (of Holland, Aldwinckle & Slater), London 1860, the two silver mounts hallmarked Henry Manton, Birmingham 1879. Gross weighable silver 4.1 ozt (130 grams), height 2 1/2 inches (6.5 cm).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Soft solder repairs to the joins of the handle, also the seam has split to the top join. Heavy debris and would benefit from a clean and polish. Glass with minor losses and nibbles, small chips to the edge of the open salt. Associated plated salt spoon present. The hallmarks appear a little worn but legible.
