Lot Description

A late Victorian small silver caster with simple pierced cover, hallmarked George Unite & Sons, Birmingham 1896, height measuring 4 1/4 inches (11 cm). Together with a 1930's caster of similar form, hallmarked William Hutton & Sons Ltd, Sheffield 1938, height measuring 5 inches (12.5 cm). Gross weight 4 ozt (129 grams). (2).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The Victorian example displays some loss of definition and a dent to the cover, the hallmarks also a little worn.
