Lot Description
A late Victorian pair of silver open salts, each of oval form with gadrooned style decoration to rim above a lobed bulbous body and footed base. Hallmarked S Blanckensee & Sons Ltd., Birmingham 1898. Maximum length measures 2 3/8 inches (6 cm), weight 1.64 ozt (51.3 grams).

Condition Report
Both salts display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some slight loss of detail to raised surfaces of moulded decoration. Some minor surface nicks and dints. Some rubbing and distortion to maker's marks, however the other hallmarks are clear and legible.
