Lot Description
An early Victorian matched pair of silver candlesticks, each with knopped columns leading to the fluted stepped bases with scroll corners, conforming decoration to the shoulder knop and nozzles, loaded bases, matching crests to both bases and nozzles. Hallmarked Samuel Walker & Co, Sheffield 1838 and Walker Knowles & Co Sheffield 1842. Height measuring 9 inches (23 cm).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some areas of heavy tarnishing and polish to recesses. Loading has started to displace to one and may require attention. Unable to remove one nozzle, nozzle that does attach has matching conforming hallmarks. The hallmarks a little worn but clear and legible.
