Lot Description

A George IV silver milk jug, the body ornately embossed and chased with floral scrolls and shells on a stippled background. Hallmarked London 1821. Height including handle 3 3/4 inches (10 cm), weight 10.6 ozt (330 grams).

In good overall condition. The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.

Three acid tests and file marks to the underside.  Remnants of old polish to the recesses. Hallmarks clear and legible, no maker's mark visible. Cartouche vacant.
