A Victorian silver christening mug, the slightly tapering form with Aesthetic period floral, butterfly and bird engraving, surrounding central monogram and 'C' shaped handle. Hallmarked Elkington & Co (Frederick Elkington), London 1886, numbered 5567. Height measuring 3 1/8 inches (8 cm), weight 3.3 ozt (104 grams).

Numerous dents to the body and base. Base a little compressed and wobbles. Heavier marks to interior. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
