A George IV pair of silver open salts of oval form, monogrammed with decorative rim and raised on four ball feet. Hallmarked London 1821, maker's mark indistinct. Length of each salt measuring 3 1/2 inches (9 cm), gross weight 4.7 ozt (146 grams).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
Ribbing to the detail of the decoration with loss of definition. Holes have worn through the ball feet to one. Possible repair to the rim of one. Hallmarks very worn, only remnants visible to one.
