An early twentieth century silver basket of shaped oval form, embossed with scrolls amongst pierced decoration to the applied scrolling rim, twin handles and bracket feet. Hallmarked Joseph Rodgers & Sons, Sheffield 1914, numbered 4042 1/2. Length measuring 11 1/2 inches (29.5 cm), weight 16.1 ozt (502 grams).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
One foot is bent out of position. Some compression to the piercing surrounding the base. Probably missing a glass liner. Heavy deposits of polish. Acid test to rim. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
