Lot Description

A George III silver caster, of baluster form and raised on a circular foot, with pierced and geometric engraved lid and finial. Hallmarked TS, probably Thomas Shepherd, London 1776. Height 5 1/8 inches (13 cm). Weight 2.57 ozt (80.1 grams)

Condition Report

Good overall condition with scratches, very small dents and tarnish in keeping with age and use. Minor small shallow dents to foot rim. Minor nicks to the rim of the main body. Minor pitting to joins. Finial is slightly to one side. SFM scratch engraved to base. Jewellers stock marks scratched to base.
