Lot Description

A modern pair of silver candlesticks, each raised above square stepped and beaded bases, to the Corinthian columns, loaded bases. Hallmarked Bert Gordon, Birmingham 1964/65. Height measuring 9 3/4 inches (25 cm).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Unable to remove the nozzles. The covering to the underneath of the bases has started to deteriorate, to one candlestick the loading has started to drop and the stick does not sit straight. Heavy deposits of wax present. Minor dints. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
