Lot Description

Three napkin rings, to include an Australian monogrammed napkin ring, marked Brunkhorst, Adelaide with two pseudo marks, a silver floral engraved napkin ring, hallmarked G Loveridge & Co, Birmingham 1918, and a base metal example with frilled edge, together with an ivory vesta case with applied silver shield and a base metal vesta with engraved Masonic emblem. Weight of two napkin rings 1.78 ozt (55.5 grams).

Good overall condition with scratches, minor dents and tarnish in keeping with age and use. Al Brunkhorst was in business in Rundle Street, Adelaide between 1884-1919. Widths of napkin rings 1 1/4 to 1 1/16 inches (3.2 to 2.7 cm). Plated example engraved G Meredith 1901. Ivory shows discolouration to sides. Shield hallmarked H F Daltrey & Co, London 1915. Slight wear to hallmarks.
