Lot Description

A George III silver waiter of circular form, the raised edge with beaded rim, central engraved crest and raised above three ball feet. Hallmarked London 1781, tentatively attributed to William Turton. Diameter measuring 5 1/4 inches (13.5 cm), weight 4.2 ozt (133.5 grams).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.

Numerous repairs visible with loss of detail and definition to the edge. Crest rubbed. Minor dints and bumps. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
