Lot Description
An early twentieth century silver mounted large dressing table mirror, of rectangular easel back form with bevelled glass plate, the mount ornately pierced and embossed with floral motifs amidst trailing and scrolling foliage, vacant cartouche to the arched top. Hallmarked James Deakin & Sons (John & William F Deakin), Chester 1917. Maximum height measures 25 inches (63.5 cm), width measures 16 1/2 inches (42 cm).

Condition Report
The mirror displays general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use, also some tarnishing to the silver. The silver mount is lifting in places and there are some small holes and breaks visible in the embossed and pierced decoration. Also some of the pins are coming loose or missing. The hallmarks are clear and legible. Some light wear to the material back.
