Lot Description
A 1940's silver mounted cigarette box of plain oblong form, with engine turned decoration to the lid surrounding a rectangular cartouche enclosing an armorial with scrolling detail. Hallmarked Padgett & Braham Ltd, London 1948. Length measures 4 inches (10.24 cm).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with age and use. There are numerous deeper dents to the edges and corners. There is a deep graze to the front right hand side of the main body. The wood lined interior is in good condition, as is the hinge. There are two spots of discolouration to the underside. The hallmarks are clear and legible but the maker's mark is heavily rubbed.
