Lot Description
A Victorian pair of silver plated candlesticks, each with detachable nozzle and campana shape socket leading to a knopped central column and spreading base, decorated in relief throughout with flowering and fruiting vines. Maker's mark to base 'J.F.P & Co', alongside four further marks. Height measures 10 1/4 inches (26 cm).

Condition Report
Both display general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. Heavy tarnishing is visible and they would both benefit from a clean and polish. Some slight surface dints and bumps, especially to the rims of the sockets and also the cylindrical columns on the detachable nozzles, which are a little misshapen. One of the candlesticks rocks a little. There is some slight loss of surface detail and definition to some of the decoration.
