Lot Description
A Victorian cased silver plated dessert canteen comprising two drawers with knives and forks with mother of pearl handles for twelve place settings, the hinged burr walnut veneer lid with engraved plaque and ebony and boxwood inlay opening to reveal a fitted tray containing an ornate pair of serving spoons with engraved and scroll pierced gilt bowls to the engraved stems with pierced capitals, matching grape scissors and sifter spoon and two pairs of nut crackers. Maker's mark of Joseph Ridge & Co, Sheffield to many parts. Height of case measuring 7 inches (17.5 cm).

Condition Report
In excellent overall condition and many pieces look top have had minimal usage. Light scratches and tarnishing. Minor flaws to the mother of pearl. The lock to the case has been broken, no key present and the front case therefore does easily fall open, also two small chips to this edge. Engraving to the case includes the date 1891. Makers mark to the knives and forks and grape scissors only.
