A George II silver porringer of circular form, with part fluted decoration, the asymmetrical cartouche with name inscription and twin scrolling hands.  Hallmarked Richard Gurney & Co

(Richard Gurney & Thomas Cook), London 1756. Height measuring 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm), weight 7.7 ozt (239 grams).

Compression around the join of the lower join of the handles. Engraving reads 'Noggin Hillok'. General minor dints and bumps. Some loss of definition to the decoration. The hallmarks display wear, the maker's mark only partly legible.
