Lot Description
An early twentieth century pair of Russian silver and enamel napkin rings, each designed as a foil back amethyst, inset to the multicolour cloisonné enamel stylised foliate band, with rope-twist accents. Kokoshnik mark for Kostroma, 1908-1926. Diameter 1 3/4 inches (4.5 cm). Weight 3.39 ozt (105.7 grams).

Condition Report
Good overall condition with light scratches, very small dents and tarnish in keeping with general wear. As well as Kokoshnik mark, also stamped 84. Width of napkin rings 1 5/16 inches (3.4 cm). The amethyst are backed to give a purplish red appearance. Minor enamel faults, some slight enamel in the textured ground. One napkin ring with small silver blips to the outer blue enamel ring, slight associated file marks and loss to the enamel. Wear to the gilt finish. Minor file marks to the edges of the napkin rings.
