Lot Description

A pair of Russian salts each designed as a circular squat bowl, raised on three feet, with black enamel scrolling foliate and engraved decoration, with post 1908 84 Kokoshnik mark for St Petersburg. Maker's mark r.n. Together with a similarly designed spoon and a green and red foliate enamel open salt. Diameter of black enamel salt 1 9/16 inches (4 cm). Gross weight 2.52 ozt (78.5 grams).

Good overall condition with scratches, small dents and tarnish in keeping with age and use. Larger salt deficient glass liner. Spoon very slightly bent. Post 1908, 84 Kokoshnik import mark for Kiev. Minor file marks and associated slight discolouration. Black spotting and wear to gilt finish to inside of salts. Larger salt stamped 910MMET, M3P00k.
