Lot Description

A Tiffany & Co. ashtray of circular form with reeded and scroll border and central initial engraving, stamped 'Sterling'. Together with a silver handled button hook, hallmarked Adie & Lovekin Ltd, Birmingham 1908, a sterling silver engine turned pen and a silver plated child's rattle modelled as a teddy bear. Diameter of ashtray 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm), weight 2.78 ozt (79 grams). (4).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with age and use. The Tiffany ashtray rim is slightly dented, there is a small scratch on the outside. The detail of the rattle are rubbed. The button hook handle has dents and scratches, the hallmarks are rubbed and obscured in places. The pen is dented and the pocket hook is off centre, the end is not fully fixed on.
