Lot Description

A white metal trinket box of rectangular outline, with relief decorated side panels depicting wild animals and hunting scenes, the hinged cover with single swing handle and a larger relief panel conforming in decoration, opening to reveal a wooden interior with velvet lining. Together with a smaller continental jewellery box, impressed '835', of rectangular shape and raised above four splayed paw feet. Dimensions measure respectively 5 1/2 inches (14 cm) by 3 1/2 inches (9 cm) and 5 inches (12.5 cm) by 3 1/8 inches (8 cm). (2).

Both boxes appear in fair overall condition, displaying general surface scratches, marks, wear and some tarnishing.  There is more wear to the corners and around the edges of both and also heavier marks to the underside of both.  Some deeper scratches and nicks and a few minor surface dints are visible.  Hinged lids to both appear in working order.  Interiors of both are lined with a velvet type material.
