Lot 473

Lot Description

A selection of continental flatware to include a pair of German sugar nips with bowed arms leading to two silver-gilt claws, with the German pre-1886 standard mark '12'. Together with a pair of continental silver tongs with floral detailing, stamped '800', a set of six Indonesian Yogya spoons with high relief terminals, predominantly stamped 'WJ800', various silver teaspoons, etc. Gross weighable silver 8.04 ozt (228.1 grams).

Postage: Auction Default

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

The items in the lot are in varied state, however all display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use, and to varying degrees.  Probable file marks to the German nips.  The continental tongs are slightly out of alignment.  Of the set of six Indonesian spoons, two appear to be of a slightly different design.  The bowls on these spoons all appear okay.  There is more wear to the bowls on some of the other spoons, thinner metal, etc.
