Lot Description

A German silver mounted glass oil bottle with long cylindrical neck leading to an ovoid lower body and footed base, the silver mount decorated with a seascape with ships and various putti to the fore, the cork stopper mounted with a further putto, struck to the base with the Crown and Crescent mark alongside 800 and a further indistinct mark, maximum height measures 9 1/4 inches (23.5 cm).  Together with four embossed dishes, three coin dishes, a small candlestick, a pickle fork and a small quantity of teaspoons, some with continental marks. (18).

Items are in varied state, however all display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with their age and use, and to varying degrees.  On the oil bottle, there are some small breaks or missing sections in the pierced mount.  There is also slight loss of surface detail to some of the decoration.  Some surface dints and bumps to some of the other pieces, especially one of the dishes and the candlestick has several large dints, creases and knocks to the metal.  The spoons and fork are all quite heavily tarnished.
