A Victorian pair of silver butter knives, the ornately scroll engraved shaped blades to the waisted handles with diaper decoration and initialled terminals. Hallmarked Martin, Hall & Co (Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall), Sheffield 1865, Victorian registration mark for September 1864. Length measuring 7 3/4 inches (19.5 cm).

Tips of the blades are a little dimpled and worn, Acid test to each visible. Handles are filled. Hallmarks to the ferrules are worn.
