Lot Description

A George III silver sugar sifter and caddy spoon, the sifter with pierced shell bowl, to the curving Onslow pattern handle, hallmarked George Wintle, London 1792. The caddy spoon with oval-shape bowl and curving sides, to the foliate engraved handle, with wrigglework engraved accents, hallmarked Thomas James, London 1813. Lengths 5 1/4 and 4 1/4 inches (13.5 and 10.7 cm). Weight 1.25 ozt (39 grams).

Good overall condition with scratches, very small dents and tarnish in keeping with age and use. The sifter handle appears to have a very slight bend near the hallmarks. Caddy spoon has monogram, almost polished out, possibly JMC. Very slight dent to the lip of the caddy spoon, slight, shallow small dents to the bowl.
