Lot 560

Lot Description

A George III silver sifter spoon, with foliate scroll decoration to the stem leading to a crested terminal, crisscross and circle pierced motifs to the bowl. Hallmarked London 1810 with maker's mark 'WE'. Length measures 5 1/2 inches (14 cm), weight 1 ozt (32 grams).

Postage: Auction Default

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

The spoon displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.  Some loss of detail and definition to decoration in places.  The bowl appears to have faired quite well, some minor rim nicks and deeper scratches are visible.  Some slight rubbing but hallmarks are clear and legible.
