An Edwardian set of four Sampson Mordan silver menu holders, each modelled as a standing owl with glass eyes, perched on a branch and mounted on a plain circular base. Hallmarked Sampson Mordan & Co Ltd., Chester 1906. Height measures 3.5 cm, gross weight 84.2 grams.

Condition Report
Each holder displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Heavier scratches and minor nicks visible to some areas. A glass eye is missing to one of the owls. Remnants of polish visible around some of the other eyes and to other areas. Slight loss of surface detail to some of the feather decoration. Some rubbing to hallmarks on one of the holders, otherwise they are clear and legible.
