An Edwardian silver sovereign case, the square scroll engraved body with vacant cartouche opening to the sprung panel. Hallmarked Robert Pringle & Sons, Birmingham 1903. Height including suspension bow 4.5 cm, weight 21.8 grams.

The sovereign case displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Hinge and internal screw appears to have rusted. Minor dints and bumps. The hinge and clasp are in good working order. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
