A Victorian pair of novelty sugar nips modelled as a harlequin with serpent finger rings and shell bowls. Hallmarked London 1846. Height measuring 4 3/4 inches (12 cm), weight 1.5 ozt (48 grams).

The body does not appear to fully close and sit flush. A little wear to the definition of the decoration around the torso. The hallmarks are clear and legible. No maker's mark visible.
