A flute by E.L. DeFord Elkhart in maker's case and leather travel bag. Stamped 'Silver Head' on the head joint, with the maker and 'Thinwall Silver Body' on the main body along with the serial number A27016 and A21006 to the foot joint. Length measures 27 5/8 inches (70.2 cm).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with age and use. There are a number of small dents, particularly to the head joint. All keys are in functioning order and the pads are in good condition. The velvet lined case, including cleaning stick, is in good condition although the maker's name is slightly worn as it is on the leather case.
