A Victorian silver christening mug of cylindrical form with fern and foliate engraving, reeded borders and 'C' shaped handle. Hallmarked George Unite & Sons, Birmingham 1876. Height measuring 2 3/4 inches (7 cm), weight 3.4 ozt (106.5 grams).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Two significant dents to the hollow handle, one with file marks and acid test. Further minor dints and bumps. No personal engravings. The hallmarks are clear and legible to the underside, part hallmarks under the rim.
