Lot Description
An early George III silver christening mug of baluster form with later stylised decoration and dragon capped scrolling handle, hallmarked Walter Brind, London 1762, height measuring 3 inches (7.5 cm). Together with a 1930's silver christening mug, initialled, hallmarked Birmingham 1933. Gross weight 5.99 ozt (186 grams). (2).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Georgian example has had an engraving removed from the front panel and the silver feels thin, also some loss of definition to the figures and dragon. A number of dents visible to the the 1930's example, acid test to rim of foot, maker's mark to this mug partly erased.
