Lot Description
A late Victorian silver monogrammed vesta case, hallmarked Colen Hewer Cheshire, Birmingham 1885. Together with two cigarette cases to include an oval shaped German cigarette case and a rectangular shaped mid twentieth century Austrian cigarette case, both with engine-turned engraving. Lengths of cigarette cases 4 and 3 1/2 inches (10.4 and 9 cm). Gross weight 6.60 ozt (205.5 grams). (3).

Condition Report
Good overall condition with scratches, very small dents and tarnish in keeping with general wear. The vesta is monogrammed MCJ. Shallow dent to front. Austrian case personal inscription to interior "From Elfi. To Richard, With all my Love, 5.10.1947." Most elastic bands deficient. Discolouration to gilt interiors. Austrian marks including 1922-75 mark for 835 grade. German marks slightly worn including 900 mark.
