Lot Description
An Edwardian silver small circular box, floral, foliate and scroll embossing throughout with central engraved monogram to the hinged lid, hallmarked Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepherd, Birmingham 1902, diameter measures 42 mm, together with a similar continental example. Weight of hallmarked box 15.5 grams. (2).

Condition Report
Both boxes display general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. Heavier areas of tarnishing are visible to both and they would benefit from a clean and polish. Slight loss of surface detail or definition to some of the raised areas of decoration. Some small surface dints and bumps, mainly visible to the Edwardian box. On this box, the lid rises slightly when in the closed position. Some rubbing to hallmarks on this box but they are still legible, maker's mark is partly distorted.
