Lot Description
An early twentieth century silver and tortoiseshell trinket box, of scalloped oval outline, raised on four scroll legs, the hinged lid inset with scrolling floral pique tortoiseshell panel. Hallmarked E S Barnsley & Co, Birmingham 1918. Length 5 1/8 inches (13 cm).

Condition Report
Good to fair overall condition with surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnish commensurate with age and use. Two of the legs are slightly bent. Small chip to the tortoiseshell at one edge, not visible to the front, across one of the securing pins, missing, tortoiseshell hangs slightly low. Slight discolouration to fabric interior and not longer sits flush with the silver.
