Lot Description
A Victorian set of four travel scent bottles, the triangular glass bodies with domed and hinged silver lids, each decorated with a differently coloured enamel ring, in leather compartmentalised travel case. Hallmarked Birmingham 1899, maker's marks obscured, possibly 'L??'. Height of bottles 2 1/2 inches (6.5 cm).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with age and use. All glass bottles have minor losses and chips to the corners and edges, four glass stoppers present but some chipped. Minor surface loss to the red enamel ring. All hinges work, some looser than others. The hallmarks are clear and legible. All maker's marks partially or completely obscured. The leather travel case has evident wear to the interior and exterior, with a strap missing and a patch worn away on one side, several deeper scratches and creases visible. The top strap is worn and heavily creased in places.
