A late Victorian silver novelty snuff box modelled as a brazil nut with hinged cover. Hallmarked Spink & Son (John Marshall Spink), London 1896, registered no. 273336. Length measuring 5 cm, weight 30 grams.

In good overall appearance. The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Gilding rubbed to interior. Hinge loose and the lid does not hold in the closed position. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
