Lot Description
A German silver snuff box of oblong form, with embossed pastoral scene to the lid surrounded by a scrolling border, with scrolling embossed sides, stamped with the Reichsmark of a crescent moon and crown and maker's mark for Gustav Memmert, Berlin to the underside. Together with a Finnish cigarette case with vertical engine turned decoration, vacant cartouche, scrolling border and gem set button, stamped 'Sterling' to the inside, alongside further Finnish assay marks. Length of embossed box 2 3/5 inches (7 cm), combined weight 5.73 ozt (162.5 grams). (2).

Condition Report
Both items display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some slight loss of surface detail to decoration. Heavier scratches and nicks are visible to both but especially to the cigarette case. Also some slight surface dints to the cigarette case. Hinges to both are in working order, however there remains a slight gap to the cigarette case when it is in the closed position. The marks are mainly legible.
