A George IV silver vinaigrette of oblong form with punch work and engraved borders to the engraved cartouche and silver-gilt interior with scroll pierced and drilled hinged grille. Hallmarked Joseph Willmore Birmingham 1821. Length measuring 2.5 cm, weight 6.6 grams.

The vinaigrette displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Minor dints and bumps. Personal engraving very rubbed. Gilding to the interior bright, possibly re-done. The two halves of the body do not sit perfectly flush. Hinges in good working order. Hallmarks a little rubbed but legible.
