Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some deeper scratches, nicks and contact marks are visible, especially to the underside. Also some general minor surface dints and bumps. Slight loss of detail to decoration in places and there appear to be a couple of slight breaks in the pierced lid. There is also a little bit of damage to the grille, especially at one end. The grille is quite a tight fit and difficult to lift up. The reverse of the grille is quite tarnished and discoloured from the sponge, which is still present. Some of the hallmarks are a little cut off, but they are still legible. Some of the Hanau marks to the underside are a little rubbed and distorted.
