Lot Description

An Edwardian silver christening mug, the tapering form with fern engraving surrounding the initialled cartouche, with 'C' shaped handle and raised on a circular foot. Hallmarked Walker & Hall, Sheffield 1904, numbered 53519. Height measuring 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm), weight 4.7 ozt (148 grams).

The mug displays general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use.

Heavy tarnishing visible and would benefit from a clean and polish. Possibly previously abrasively cleaned. Dent to the lip. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
