A late Victorian Scottish silver pedestal bowl, with frill rim above an embossed band of birds perched on branches amidst foliage, with further decorative bands below. Hallmarked Aird & Thomson, Glasgow 1900. Approximate height measures 5 inches (12.5 cm), weight 7 ozt (220 grams).

Condition Report
The bowl displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The bowl is in fairly poor condition as the short stem is now squashed into the base, so that the bowl is now leaning to one side. There are several creases in the metal in this area. The hallmarks are a little rubbed but still legible.
